# Gallery thank-you tile

> A thank-you gallery where the words take one photograph's place: a six-cell grid of 4:5 frames with short captions, the second cell an inverted tile of the same size holding a short thank-you heading, three lines and two links, to the full album and to add your own. Three across, two on a tablet, one on a phone with the note second. Example images included and replaceable in the editor. States no colour and no font of its own.

## The signature moment: the thank-you is one tile of the gallery, the same size as the photographs

**A six-cell grid of 4:5 frames with one-line captions, where the second cell
is an inverted tile of the same proportion holding a short thank-you note
(heading "We are still smiling"), three lines
and two links: to the full album and to a shared album for guests' own
photographs.** The tile is a plain-colour cover at a 4:5 aspect ratio with its
own caption beneath, so it lines up with the frames beside it.

## What it inherits from your theme

- **Typeface.** The base states no font family.
- **Palette.** Your `base` ground and `contrast` text; the tile is a cover
  painted `contrast` with `base` text and links; the label tries
  `role-label`.

## What it decides for itself

- **The grid.** 20rem minimum columns and no column count: three across from
  about 1100px, two on a tablet, one on a phone. The tile is second in the
  order, so no width leaves a hole: rows of three (photo, tile, photo),
  pairs of two, or a single column with the note second.
- **The captions.** 14px, under 30 characters.

## What to change first

1. **The five photographs.** Select each and choose **Replace**; keep them
   portrait, or the 4:5 crop takes the middle.
2. **The captions.**
3. **The tile**: the three lines, and the two links (they point at
   placeholder anchors). The first goes to the photographer's gallery, the
   second to a shared album guests can upload to.

## The Vow look

Part of the Vow Pattern Set, a couple's whole wedding website in one design
language: wisteria white ground `#f7f5fb`, a wisteria band `#ebe6f3`, card
white `#ffffff` and a midnight slab `#1f2240`; midnight ink, dusk `#555a78`
for secondary copy, peony `#a8365a` labels on light grounds and pale peony
`#f2b8c9` on the slab, wisteria hairlines `#d9d3e6`. Headings and names are
Didot at 400 (Bodoni MT, Hoefler Text, Baskerville, Times New Roman, serif),
body, labels and buttons Gill Sans (Seravek, Trebuchet MS, sans-serif). Cards
and buttons are square; the primary button is a filled midnight rectangle, the
secondary an underlined peony link. Every text pair is measured on the ground
it is painted on. Take the base for your theme's colours, or the look's **Use
my theme** chip.

## Included images

The copied markup includes WordPress Photo Directory example photographs. The
public image URLs keep the examples visible after pasting. Select an image and
choose **Replace** to use your own Media Library files. See [image

does not import a Media Library attachment.
