# Gifts note and list

> A gifts section where the note outweighs the list: a centred line at display size, a reading-size paragraph under it, then two small cards side by side, a fund with a photograph and a button and a gift list with its number and a link, each ending on what to do. A line saying bank details are on request closes it. Example image included and replaceable in the editor. States no colour and no font of its own.

This variation states its own colours and states its own type: identical in every theme.

## The signature moment: the note outweighs the list

**A centred line at display size ("Having you there is the present."), a
reading-size paragraph under it, and below them two small side-by-side cards,
each ending on what to do.** The fund card carries a photograph of where the
money goes and a button; the list card names the shop and the list number
with a link. On a phone the cards stack under the note.

## What it inherits from your theme

- **Typeface.** The base states no font family.
- **Palette.** Your `base` ground and `contrast` text. The cards try
  `role-plate`, `role-plate-text` and a `role-rule` border; the labels try
  `role-label`; all fall back to `base` and `contrast`.
- **Buttons.** Your theme's button with a stated padding, and an underlined
  link in the text colour.

## What it decides for itself

- **The note.** A display size off the ladder, about 34px on a phone and
  68px from 1280 up, on a 40rem measure.
- **The cards.** Together about 44rem wide and centred, 17rem minimum
  columns, so two across from a tablet up and one on a phone.

## What to change first

1. **The note and the paragraph.**
2. **The fund**: what it is for, the photograph, and the button's link to
   your fund page (it points at a placeholder anchor).
3. **The list**: the shop, the list number and the link.
4. **Bank details stay out of the pattern.** A page anyone can read is no
   place for an account number; the closing line sends people to a person
   instead.

## The Vow look

Part of the Vow Pattern Set, a couple's whole wedding website in one design
language: wisteria white ground `#f7f5fb`, a wisteria band `#ebe6f3`, card
white `#ffffff` and a midnight slab `#1f2240`; midnight ink, dusk `#555a78`
for secondary copy, peony `#a8365a` labels on light grounds and pale peony
`#f2b8c9` on the slab, wisteria hairlines `#d9d3e6`. Headings and names are
Didot at 400 (Bodoni MT, Hoefler Text, Baskerville, Times New Roman, serif),
body, labels and buttons Gill Sans (Seravek, Trebuchet MS, sans-serif). Cards
and buttons are square; the primary button is a filled midnight rectangle, the
secondary an underlined peony link. Every text pair is measured on the ground
it is painted on. Take the base for your theme's colours, or the look's **Use
my theme** chip.

## Notes

- Core blocks only: group, heading, paragraph, image, buttons, button. No
  plugin, nothing to keep updated.

## Included images

The copied markup includes a WordPress Photo Directory example photograph.
The public image URL keeps the example visible after pasting. Select the image
and choose **Replace** to use your own Media Library file. See [image

does not import a Media Library attachment.
