Identical markup in every theme.

Your base card with contrast type inside two currentColor rules, on a 30% veil of your contrast colour over the photograph; a theme button and an underlined link.

### Vow

This variation states its own colours and states its own type: identical in every theme.

## The signature moment: the hero is the invitation itself, a double-ruled card in the wording and order a printed invitation keeps

**The card is two nested bordered groups**, an outer hairline and an inner
rule inset 0.625rem inside it, so it reads as a printed card with a ruled
border rather than a panel. Inside: "Together with their families", the two
names stacked on three lines around an italic ampersand, "invite you to
celebrate their marriage", the date and time in italic, the venue in two
lines, a hairline, then the RSVP button and a text link. On a laptop the card
is about 34rem wide with the photograph visible on all four sides; on a phone
the card takes the width less a 1rem gutter and the photograph is a band of
about 12rem above it.

## What it inherits from your theme

- **Typeface.** The base states no font family.
- **Palette.** The card is your `base` colour with `contrast` type; both rules
  are `currentColor`. The veil is 30% of your `contrast` colour and carries no
  type: every word is on the card.
- **Buttons.** The RSVP button is your theme's own button with padding for a
  44px target; the second is a transparent underlined link.

## What it decides for itself

- **The names.** Display size, `clamp(2.5rem, 1.6rem + 3.6vw, 4.5rem)` at a
  1.05 line height: about 40px on a phone, 72px on a laptop. Off the ladder,
  because their size is the composition.
- **The date.** Italic at `clamp(1.25rem, 1.05rem + 0.8vw, 1.75rem)`, off
  the ladder so a theme with a big `large` rung cannot squeeze it on a phone.
- **The card's width.** 34rem, held by a constrained wrapper.

## What to change first

1. **The photograph.** Replace the cover image; the veil and card stay.
2. **The names, date and venue.**
3. **The links.** `/rsvp-and-gifts/` and `/our-day/`.

## The Vow look

Part of the Vow Pattern Set, a couple's whole wedding website in one design
language: wisteria white `#f7f5fb` ground, midnight `#1f2240` ink, dusk
`#555a78` muted ink, card white `#ffffff` on a wisteria hairline `#d9d3e6`,
peony `#a8365a` labels on light grounds and pale peony `#f2b8c9` on the
midnight slab. Names and headings are Didot at 400 with an italic ampersand;
body, labels and buttons are Gill Sans. Buttons are square midnight
rectangles or underlined peony links; cards and photographs are square. Every
text pair is measured on the ground it is painted on. Take the base for your
theme's colours, or the look's **Use my theme** chip.
