Hours counterweight: WordPress Block Pattern, Pattern Paste Canonical: https://patternpaste.com/pattern/hours-counterweight.html Core Patterns (https://patternpaste.com/patterns/) Contact (https://patternpaste.com/patterns/contact/) Catalogue access Standard # Hours counterweight An opening-hours sign with a monumental opening time balanced by a smaller closing-time plate. A heavy rule heads the Monday-to-Friday schedule; a compact ruled strip follows for Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays, with an address and visit action below. The unequal scale and density make the hours recognisable without colour. The base inherits your theme; Chamois and cobalt brings a warm shopfront palette and Arial type. ## All patterns Search patterns Loading patterns… The signature moment ## Two oversized times balance a compact strip of days The opening time is an unboxed, heavy numeral. The closing time sits in a smaller inverted plate at its lower right. Their unequal scale and density meet the full-width rule above the weekend strip. The sign stays distinctive when its colour is removed because the contrast comes from size, weight and the two different occupied areas. Theme handoff ## What comes from where ### From your theme The base uses chained base and contrast colours. The closing plate reverses them and explicitly carries its light text. Ground painters pass their ink to headings and links. Body copy takes the medium rung, the heading takes x-large, and the typeface and button finish come from the theme. Normal text targets 4.5:1 contrast; the large display numerals may use the 3:1 large-text threshold. Design rationaleComposition, intent and nearest alternatives ### Overview An opening-hours sign for a shop or workshop. The ordinary week gets the largest type: doors open at 09:00 and close at 18:00, Monday to Friday. Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays fit in a compact strip below, followed by the address and visit action. ### The signature moment: two oversized times balance a compact strip of days The opening time is an unboxed, heavy numeral. Theme behaviourInheritance, fixed decisions and contrast ### What it inherits from your theme The base uses chained base and contrast colours. ### Display type The opening numeral uses clamp(4.5rem, 11vw, 10rem), the closing numeral clamp(3.5rem, 7vw, 7rem). Their unequal sizes are the composition. Short schedule and location labels use a 14px minimum display size; the weekend hours and exception labels use clamp(1.125rem, 1.8vw, 1.5rem). Technical notesBlock mechanics, responsive behaviour and constraints ### Layout and editing The full-width band contains a constrained inner group without a stated content width. Its sign and rules use the theme's wide alignment. The 60/40 time columns stack on narrow screens; the day strip and address row wrap. All copy, times, rules, colours and button settings are native core blocks. Update both weekday numerals, the Saturday hours, the closed-day label, the bank-holiday note, the address and the /visit/ button destination. ### The Styled look chamois-and-cobalt uses warm chamois #F5E6C8, near-black ink #17212B and deep cobalt #1744B5. Cobalt carries the closing time and the square visit button. An Arial system stack gives the numerals a direct shop-sign voice, with a 400 body weight. The inherited base is the same composition in the buyer's colours and type. Questions ## Hours counterweight: common questions Does Hours counterweight need a plugin? States no colour and no font of its own. (https://patternpaste.com/pattern/emergency-triage-list.html)Footer Footer booking fold A local-business footer drawn as an open fold: a broad field puts a display sign-off above the address, grouped hours and contact links; a narrower booking corner begins lower, enclosed by a heavy top edge and two sides. One closing rule joins both parts to the useful and legal links below. The two fields stack in reading order on a phone. States no colour and no font of its own. (https://patternpaste.com/pattern/footer-booking-fold.html)Hero Hero aperture An opening section on your theme's own paper: a tracked line, a display headline, one short paragraph on a reading measure, and then a picture that stops short of the edge on every side. The signature is the margin: the image is a window cut in the page rather than a band across it, and the paper around it is what you notice. A small opaque plate in the picture's bottom-right corner carries the caption, so no type ever sits on the photograph. The still-image version includes an example photograph; select your own clip for the video version. States no colour and no font of its own.
