# Services tree work glossary

> A services section written as a glossary: an oversized heading and a short line, then a ruled ledger of six trade terms, each set large with its from price beneath and a plain-English line beside it, next to two stacked photographs. A note on prices and a survey button close the ledger. On a phone the photographs follow the ledger and each term sits over its line. States no colour and no font of its own.

### Glossary (the default)

Identical markup in every theme.

Your base ground and contrast type, a 2px contrast rule over the ledger and role-rule hairlines between terms; prices on the label role and your theme's own button.

### Bough

This variation states its own colours and states its own type: identical in every theme.

## The signature moment: the trade's words set large, each answered in one plain line

**Six ruled entries under a heavy rule, each a large term with its from price
beneath and a plain-English line beside it.** Every entry is a grid that
holds the term and the line side by side where there is room and stacks
them where there is not, so the ledger never squeezes a definition into a
sliver. Two photographs of the work stand beside the ledger.

## What it inherits from your theme

- **Typeface.** The base states no font family.
- **Palette.** Your `base` ground and `contrast` type; a 2px `contrast` rule
  over the ledger and `role-rule` hairlines between entries; the prices and
  label on `role-label`, the call link on `role-link`, all falling back to
  `contrast`. The survey button is your theme's button with a stated padding.

## What it decides for itself

- **The heading.** A bare clamp, about 34px on a phone and 68px wide.
- **The terms.** A clamp near 1.75 to 2.5rem: the ledger is the second mass
  on the page, not a caption.
- **The prices.** 20px bold, so a coloured price stays legible as large text.

## What to change first

1. **The six terms, lines and from prices**, in the words you use on a
   survey.
2. **The photographs**: your own work, a pile of cut branches and a ground
   stump are what the base shows.
3. **The phone number** on the call link (it dials the number it shows).

## The Bough look

Part of the Bough Pattern Set, a tree surgeon in Brimscombe Port, Stroud.
Here the section is the lichen-green `#d5e1cc` band: forest `#15301c` terms in
a Rockwell slab stack at 700, leaf-green `#2e6b3a` from prices at 20px bold
(4.7:1), moss `#40564a` lines in Trebuchet MS, `#c3d0bb` hairlines under a
2px forest rule, and a filled forest button with 4px corners. The small label
