### Claim and checklist (the default)

Identical markup in every theme.

The claim on your base ground beside six rows ruled in currentColor, each opened by a large tick in your text colour.

### Buttermilk and pillar red

This variation states its own colours and states its own type: identical in every theme.

A local hardware shop: buttermilk ground, dark brown ink, the claim on a rounded pillar-box red plate and red ticks, in a slab serif over Verdana.

## The signature moment: a column of ticks down the rules

**The ticks are set at display size in one column, hard against the left edge of
the ruled rows.** Each row opens with a text tick larger than the promise beside
it, and because every tick sits at the same x on its own hairline, the six of
them read down the page as a single signed-off column before a word of the proof
is read. The claim opposite carries no rule at all, so the seam between the two
halves is a change from open type to a ruled ledger.

The tick is the character `✓` in a paragraph, not an icon font or an SVG, so it
takes your theme's colour and face and can be retyped in the editor.

## What it inherits from your theme

- **Typeface.** The base states no font family. The tick, the claim and the
  rows all take your theme's.
- **Palette.** Ground `base`, text `contrast`, each a chain ending on a colour
  WordPress guarantees. The eyebrow tries `role-label` first and the reviews
  link `role-link`, both falling back to `contrast`.
- **Rules.** The row hairlines are `currentColor`.
- **Buttons.** The quote button states no colour, so your theme's button style
  paints it; the reviews link is a transparent, underlined core button with a
  44px tap target.

## What it decides for itself

- **The claim.** Off the theme's ladder, because its size is the composition.
- **The rows.** Promise titles on the theme's `x-large` rung and proofs on
  `medium`, so the list is the second mass on the page, not a caption.
- **The split.** 46% and 54% columns; below 782px the claim stacks above the
  list.

## What to change first

1. **The claim.** One sentence, the promise your customers repeat back to you.
2. **The six rows.** A promise of three to five words and one line of proof.
   Replace the registration and review numbers with your own.
3. **The links.** `#quote` and `#reviews` point nowhere yet.

## The Buttermilk and pillar red look

A Styled variation for a friendly local shop, with its own colours, type and
copy (a hardware shop). Buttermilk ground `#fbf3dc`, dark brown ink `#2a2019`,
the claim on a rounded pillar-box red plate `#b3102b` in buttermilk, a pill
button in red on buttermilk, red ticks and 2px ink rules. The claim, ticks and
row titles are a slab serif stack (Rockwell, Roboto Slab, Clarendon, Georgia),
copy Verdana. Every text pair is measured on its painted ground at 4.5:1. Take
the base if you want your theme's colours.

## Display type

Off the theme's ladder on purpose, because the size is the composition:
- heading at clamp(2.25rem, 4.2vw, 4.25rem) (the claim)
- paragraph at clamp(2rem, 3vw, 2.75rem) (the ticks)

## Notes

- Core blocks only: group, columns, column, heading, paragraph, buttons,
  button. No icon font, no SVG, no plugin.
- Text is measured at 4.5:1 against the ground it actually sits on.
