I started Spur in 2011 with one van and a list of prices.
I was an electrician for a big contractor for nine years. Customers were quoted after the job, and most of the calls I took were about the bill.
So I wrote the prices down first. There are five of us now at Unit 6: two electricians, a Gas Safe engineer, a plumber and Carol in the office, and the prices are still on the website.
If we cannot give you the price before we start, we tell you why, and we ring before it changes.
We send the certificate the same day, and every job carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
