Winter, November to February
Felling and pollarding while the sap is down and the leaves are off. We lay track mats on soft ground.
Nesting season, March to August
Every hedge and tree is checked for nests first. An active nest is protected by law, so that part waits.
Autumn, September and October
Hedges get their last cut of the year, and the first gales start our 24-hour storm call-outs.
