Annual report, chapter one
Twelve months, four sites and one decision we would make again. The photograph behind this text is yours, and the veil over it is heavy enough that whatever you choose, the words stay readable.
Chapter one
The year in one number and six decisions: what we built, what we stopped building, and why the slowest project in the portfolio is the one we are proudest of.

Issue 01

Photographed on site
Two frames, one caption and a headline that laps the first of them. The section states no colour of its own, so the slab inverts to whatever your theme calls contrast and the type on it is your base.
The promise
Nothing below states a colour or a typeface. Paste the section in and it takes the ones your site is already using.
Colour
Every colour in this section is a fallback chain that ends on a colour WordPress itself guarantees, so it paints in a theme with a full palette and still paints in a theme with none.
Type
Nothing states a font family. What the section owns is proportion: the ramp, the tracking and the line height, which is the part that keeps working when the face underneath it changes.
Dependencies
Group, columns, heading, paragraph. Nothing to install, nothing sitting in your updates list, and no shortcode left in the page on the day you stop paying us.
Proof
Each section is rendered in four themes at three widths and read back from the computed styles, because block markup that paints nothing looks exactly like block markup that works.
Spread four, off the sheet

A spread built on one asymmetry. The tall frame runs past the measure on the left and off the edge of the page, while every line of type stops flush with the measure on the right. Two photographs, both yours; the crops are already decided.

We stopped briefing a designer for every landing page in the third week. The sections were already there, already ours, and the team shipped four campaigns in the time the last one took.

How it works
The whole engagement on one page, in the order it happens. Nothing begins until the stage above it is signed off, and every date is set at the first session.
No.
Stage
What happens
01
A half-day with everyone who has a say in the outcome. You leave with a written brief and a fixed date against every stage below.
02
Sitemap, page inventory and the wireframes that settle the argument before anyone opens a design tool.
03
Two rounds on the pages that carry the work, then the system behind them: type scale, colour, spacing, components.
04
The system becomes a block theme. Your editors get patterns and a design system, not a page builder to fight.
05
A recorded walkthrough, written documentation, and thirty days of questions answered the same day you ask them.
Fixed fee per stage. Dates set at discovery and held.
The whole library
Every section on this page is a pattern you can paste into your own theme, where it takes your colours, your type and your spacing.
One payment. Core blocks only.

Take a free pattern, paste it into your site and see it wearing your design system before you spend anything.
