In short
Not getting on with it, or not happy? Tell us within 14 days of a first payment and it is refunded in full. Trying a few patterns first is fine and expected; the one thing we will not refund is copying a large part of the library and then asking for the money back. Cancel any time to stop a renewal; a renewal you did not mean to keep is refunded on the same terms. Anything broken is put right at any time. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.
Immediate supply
Access is digital and immediate. By paying, you ask us to unlock the library straight away, and it unlocks as soon as the payment succeeds; that is what the note above the payment button means. A paid pattern is delivered in full the moment you copy it, because from then on it is markup in your own site with nothing to hand back. That is why the one limit below is about how much you have copied, not why you want the refund. Asking for immediate supply starts the clock; it does not remove your statutory rights.
Your first payment
If you are not getting on with it, or you are simply not happy, tell us within 14 days of your first payment (£70 a year (save £50), or £10 a month) and we will refund it in full. You do not need a reason. Copying a few patterns and downloading a theme to see how they work on your own site is what the 14 days are for, and it does not cost you the refund.
The one exception is bulk copying. If your account shows you have copied a large part of the library or downloaded several themes in those 14 days, the product has been supplied and a change-of-mind refund is no longer available; a genuine problem is still always reviewed (see below). Every pattern previews in full before you pay, so the quality of the work can be judged first.
Renewals and cancelling
A subscription renews at the start of each period until you cancel. Cancel from your account page at any time, or at Stripe's billing portal with the email you paid with if you cannot sign in here: the renewal stops, access runs to the end of the period already paid for, and there is no pro-rata refund for the unused part of it.
If a renewal is taken that you did not mean to keep, tell us within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it in full, on the same terms as a first payment: a few patterns copied since it was taken are fine, a large part of the library is not. We email you before a renewal that would charge more than the last one, so a price change never lands unannounced.
Broken or not as described
If a pattern does not render as its own preview shows in a supported WordPress version and a theme that honours the preset contract, or a theme download is faulty, tell us and we will fix it, replace it or refund it, whichever is appropriate. The 14-day window and the bulk-copying rule above do not apply to this: they cover changing your mind, not us getting it wrong.
What a refund does
A refund ends the subscription and access to the library. It changes nothing on any site you have already built: pasted markup is your content, and the companion plugin keeps working where it is installed. What you must not do after a refund is copy new patterns, which you will no longer be able to, or keep using paid patterns you copied during the period you were refunded for.
How to ask
Write to [email protected] from, or quoting, the email address on your account, and say what you bought and what went wrong. We aim to reply within two working days. If you bought from outside the UK, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Japan, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand and Iceland, you can also raise the request directly with Stripe, our payment processor, and the merchant of record for buyers outside the UK, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Japan, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand and Iceland, at support.link.com/topics/sold-through-link, quoting your invoice or receipt email.
Approved refunds go back to the payment method you paid with, through Stripe, which usually takes another five to ten days to appear on your statement. We do not refund to a different card or account.
Who this policy is with
Pattern Paste is operated by JD, trading as Pattern Paste, in the United Kingdom. For a buyer in the UK, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Japan, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand and Iceland, Stripe processes the payment on our behalf and JD is the seller. For a buyer anywhere else, Stripe is the merchant of record: it takes the money, issues the invoice and processes the refund, and this policy is applied through it. Your licence and your relationship with the site are with JD; the terms and licence set that out. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
