The signature moment

The nameplate stands across two routes

The broad nameplate spans the height of the two adjacent routes. Its strong right edge separates identity from wayfinding; the primary menu has more room than the practical contact rail. On a phone the nameplate becomes the first plaque, then the native menu and booking action follow.

Theme behaviourInheritance, fixed decisions and contrast

Display type

The linked business name is a display paragraph with its own fluid size and close leading. The address is a 15px label; navigation owns its compact 18px to 24px scale. Body copy follows the medium rung.

Technical notesBlock mechanics, responsive behaviour and constraints

Theme inheritance

The Core payload follows the theme’s base ground, contrast ink, heading face and button treatment. Its painter lets heading and link colour follow a recolour. Text is intended for 4.5:1 contrast, with 3:1 reserved for large display type.

Styled look

Ivory #F6F1E8, deep blue #202D47 and indigo #314A8A, with a Georgia nameplate and Arial navigation. The square booking button carries the indigo. Every action is deliberately filled or underlined. The Core payload preserves the same layout as the theme route.

Editing

Edit the linked name, the native Navigation links, the address and booking destination. WordPress supplies the mobile menu overlay. Its visible Menu control sits beside the discovery label.

Questions

Header wayfinding plaque: common questions

Does Header wayfinding plaque need a plugin?

No. It is built only from core WordPress blocks (button, buttons, column, columns, group, navigation, navigation-link and paragraph), so it pastes into the block editor with nothing to install.

Will Header wayfinding plaque match my theme?

Choose by variation. Theme takes your theme’s palette; Ivory and indigo brings its own colours.

How many variations does Header wayfinding plaque have?

2: Theme and Ivory and indigo. Each is its own markup; choose one in the toolbar above the preview before you copy.

Is Header wayfinding plaque free?

It is included with a subscription, with every Core Pattern and variation. 62 Core Patterns are free to copy without one.

Which WordPress version does it need?

Requires a block theme on WordPress 7.0 to 7.1. Classic themes and page builders are outside our supported setup. Adaptive patterns use the block theme’s colour, spacing and typography presets; styled variations declare their own colours or type.

The markup

5.1KB of core-block markup, 8 blocks (button, buttons, column, columns, group, navigation, navigation-link, paragraph), and nothing else: paste it into the block editor and it becomes editable blocks wearing your theme.
