Story two voices

A couple's "how we met", told by both of them. Two monogram circles head two columns, one for each voice, and three questions run across the full width, each answered once by each partner side by side. It sits in the editorial section beside testimonial-stagger (two voices offset, no shared question), team-studio-partners (partners paired with their own words, no question rows) and faq-dialogue (question and answer marks, one answer): none sets two answers to the same question.

Each question is a centred heading over a two-cell grid, the first voice's answer on the left and the second's on the right, so the reader compares them line by line and the small disagreements are the joke. The voices are headed by a monogram, an initial in a circle drawn with a plain colour core/cover, never a photograph of a face. On a phone the answers stack, and each keeps its name label so the voices stay clear.

• Typeface. The base states no font family.
• Palette. Your base ground with contrast type; the monograms are circles of your contrast colour with base initials, which the circle guarantees. Labels are on the label role, falling through to contrast. The hairlines between questions are currentColor.

• The heading. The xx-large rung; the questions x-large, the names large: hierarchy, so all on the ladder.
• The answers' measure. Each answer is held to 34rem, well under 75 characters a line.
• The grid. minimumColumnWidth: 22rem, so two across from a tablet up (never three) and one on a phone.
