The signature moment

Alternating viewport plates

This pattern formats features into two substantial horizontal plate cards that alternate orientation (media-left on the top card, media-right on the bottom card). Each card is bounded by a hairline border and sits on a role-plate ground, giving media slots (for schematics, product dashboards, or UI previews) dedicated focus alongside comprehensive capability copy.

What it inherits from your theme

Typeface. The pattern states no font family. All headings and body copy inherit your active theme typography.
Palette. Ground uses base (falling back to white), and text uses contrast (falling back to black). Plates use role-plate and role-plate-text.
Rules. Card borders use role-rule falling back to contrast.
Spacing. Card padding and responsive column gaps draw directly from core spacing presets.

What it decides for itself

Proportion. A 48/52 and 52/48 alternating column split within 1240px wide plates.
Typography hierarchy. Section heading on xx-large, card headings on x-large, body copy on medium ladder rungs.

What you change first

Media slots. Upload two high-resolution product screenshots, architecture diagrams, or workflow mockups into the 16:10 image placeholders.
Kickers and titles. Update the uppercase tags (Observability, Orchestration) and titles to reflect your key workflows.

Spacing

One base step. The rest of the scale derives from it at the ratios the presets ship with, so a pattern's --wp--preset--spacing--60 stays a large gap whatever you set here.

Corners on buttons and on images, and a hairline round either. A radius is a fixed step; a border colour is one of your roles, so it is measured on every band like any other role.

The palette derives these reusable bands. Each ships as a section style and appears as a knob on every pattern.
